About The Tournament
Again, we're calling this tournament, "Playing to have fun and play with a purpose!", as this year's tournament benefits YoungLife as a fundraiser event. It is being hosted by Shadle Park HS class of 1977 classmates and friends.
All net proceeds will go to send middle school and high school students to YoungLife Camp who otherwise couldn't afford it.
We started a Younglife Club at Glover Middle School about 14 years ago, with Glover's Club being one of the largest in Spokane at that time. But, we were sending very few students to Summer Camp... where something wonderful and almost magical happens! And where a lot of kids find Direction, Hope and Love from compassionate counselors!
Thank you in advance for helping, as many of our students come from single parent families!
The tournament will be a scramble format, where no team gets higher than a par on any hole, so get your teams together as this will be a "big time" fun event!
Won't you please join us for some good fun, some bad golf, and some memories that will last as long as we can remember them!

Downriver Golf Course, Spokane
Downriver Golf Course is the home to our Shadle Park Golf Team, so it only seems fitting to hold our annual tournament here. The course has gone through a lot of physical changes this past year as they had to remove over 200 trees, mainly along the river side of the course. This makes hole 3 play a whole lot different now! They have also added a new patio since we were in school, thus making this venue a real treat to enjoy both on and off the course.
